1. The next activity consists of a series of tasks.  Each task contains 4 math problems. Get ready to do some math!
2. To complete the task, look at the set of problems.  There are 4 math problems in each set.
3. Solve each of the 4 problems (problem A, B, C, and D are labeled in the center of the picture). Some problems may have multiple answers.
4. Each problem (problem A, B, C, and D) will result in an answer.  Add all those answers to get a final sum.
5. After you have determined the final sum for that problem set, scroll down to input the sum.
6. Click on the numbers to input the final sum.
   IF YOU ARE CORRECT, you will get a message that provides a code word (written in red).  Type to code word into the response to move to the next section.
   IF YOU ARE INCORRECT, you will get a message that you have the incorrect sum.  Click on the yellow arrow on the top right hand part of the box to try again.  You may need to reread the math problem or recheck your math. Practice perseverance! (If you need additional support, contact your instructor.)
7. Once you have the code word (displayed in red), scroll to the text response at the bottom of the screen.  Type the word into the text response box and click submit.  If you are correct, your answer will be accepted and you can click to move to the next problem set.  There are 5 problem sets.

EXAMPLE:
Look at the problem set picture below.  Problem A has an answer of 60, Problem B has an answer of 8, Problem C has an answer of 2, and Problem D has an answer of 9.  When all the answers are added (60+8+2+9), the result is the final sum.  The final sum is 79.
Look at the final sum pictures below. This is the place to submit the final sum. Once the 7 and then the 9 is clicked (you will notice the numbers are selected because an asterisk appears in the text box), a message appears saying "Congratulations." Below the message, there is a red code word. The word is "shark."
Look at the text response box below. After scrolling down, type the word "shark" into the text response box and click submit.  It's correct! Now you can continue to the next set of problems.
